Hello from one of America's Most Generous Cities! That's right - Milwaukee ranks among the most generous cities in the country, coming in at #13 according to a recent report conducted by LawnStarter.
The firm compared the country's 150 largest cities across 12 key indicators of philanthropic behavior, from charitable giving to volunteering rate to the number of food banks. We came in 2nd overall for residents who do favors for neighbors, 3rd for residents who donate at least $25 to charity, 4th for residents who participate in local groups or organizations, and 5th for residents who do volunteer work. Congrats, Milwaukee and VISIT Milwaukee volunteers!

The holidays are here and it is important to support local by ordering takeout over the holiday season. Not just for special dinners, but let's all treat ourselves to someone else doing the cooking for the rest of the year! And while you are at it, you look a little tired, so treat yourself to a restful night in a Milwaukee hotel. And your face is so beautiful, you deserve to let it shine with a few spa treatments. And what good is a facial without a new hairstyle to go with it from a local salon. And be sure to take in the fantastic events happening in Milwaukee as you walk to the closest local retailer for some new threads. Since you look so nice now, be sure to book a photo session with a local photographer. Don't forget to ask that photographer where she got her fantastic bag because you have been looking for one just like that from a local artist! And that bag is looking a little empty, so some books from that bookstore down the street would fill that up nicely. And since its so cold out now, a fresh hot cup of locally roasted coffee would be just the thing to warm you up while you walk to that restaurant to get your takeout for tonight before you live stream a virtual performance from a Milwaukee performing arts group!

Cruising Continues
Port Milwaukee has negotiated a 20-year lease with Pearl Seas Management, the cruise company that has brought international visitors to Milwaukee in recent years aboard its Pearl Mist vessel. We're excited to see Milwaukee continuing to rise as a destination for Great Lakes cruising!
