It has been one year since George Floyd died at the hands of officer Derek Chauvin, a painful reminder of the systemic injustice still present in our country and an important time to reflect on what has happened since.
At VISIT Milwaukee, we have re-committed to the community to be present and active in conversations that make Milwaukee a better place for people of color, and we have been and will continue to reinforce a culture of inclusivity, within our office and throughout our efforts to promote Milwaukee.
We hope you'll continue to use your voice and resources to advocate for the same.
Hospitality Vaccination Day
Friday is the second and final Hospitality Vaccination Day at the Wisconsin Center, where our staff will be encouraging - and incentivizing! - hospitality workers to come out and get their first or second dose of the COVID vaccine. As we learned yesterday, Wisconsin's vaccine rollout is still the best in the country and with over 5 million shots administered, we are certainly moving in the right direction.
New Video Showcasing Wisconsin Center's Expansion
Please take a look and share this spectacular "fly-through" video of the renderings for the Wisconsin Center's forthcoming expansion. We already have groups booked for the expanded center, and even more interested in doing so, and marketing tools like this will only increase that that demand.
Congratulations to Chief Lipski!
