Community and Travel Updates
This week, Travel Wisconsin launched its summer campaign dubbed "Here's to Those Who Wisconsin." The campaign highlights Wisconsin's spirited and celebratory nature, encouraging travelers to experience shared moments of joy in a way that is unique to Wisconsin. Our CEO, Peggy Williams-Smith, was happy to see Milwaukee included in the commercial that will be launched across the state and in markets including Chicago, Minneapolis, Cedar Rapids, Duluth, Rochester, Davenport, Des Moines, and Rockford. Kudos to the Travel Wisconsin team!
Next week is 414 Day (as well as the Brewers' home opener), which means it's time to celebrate all of the fantastic things that make Milwaukee a wonderful place to live, work and visit. We have some exciting plans in the works to mark the occasion, so watch our social channels.
Longwoods International has released its latest round of traveler sentiment data, which shows that while travelers have concerns over rising gas prices, only 6% have canceled their travel plans. A pandemic-high of 91% of American travelers say they still have plans to travel in the next six months, which points to a strong summer travel season for Milwaukee. You can view the full report here.
