At this time, we will recognize and celebrate the moments that have made the year special, including major milestones, key events and all-things-volunteers!

In 2018, Milwaukee Film expanded its mission and impact on our city by taking over operation of the historic Oriental Theatre. This stunning movie palace first opened on July 2, 1927, has received countless accolades over the years, and is celebrated as a treasured landmark on the National Register of Historic Places.

We're cooking up an exciting agenda for you all. Please stay tuned for the program details!

As a sneak peak, we're rolling out the red carpet, so please feel free to dress up for the event. We encourage everyone to wear what they feel most comfortable and confident in. The Visit Milwaukee volunteer uniform is not necessary.

Volunteer at National Center for Employee Ownership Conference helping direct attendees to registration. Volunteers will be located at entrances around the Baird Center, including the North Building entrance, South Building Entrance, and Skywalks. Volunteers will be providing directional assistance to the attendees, helping them get to Hall A/B on the 3rd floor. Volunteers should meet at Hall A/B on the 3rd floor and get further directions on where to be stationed. 

Volunteer at National Center for Employee Ownership Conference helping direct attendees to registration. Volunteers will be located at entrances around the Baird Center, including the North Building entrance, South Building Entrance, and Skywalks. Volunteers will be providing directional assistance to the attendees, helping them get to registration on the 4th floor. Volunteers should meet at the registration desk on the 4th floor and get further directions on where to be stationed. 

The Sales Team is looking for support researching where large conventions ended up booking their convention when they did not pick Milwaukee.

This shifts requires the volunteer to be knowledgeable and comfortable with various applications and technology, including but not limited to Excel, Google, and ChatGPT. If you are interested in this opportunity and have specific hours in mind (Within an 8-5, Monday through Friday workweek), please reach out to Taylor or Taleah to change the schedule. The volunteer can expect a brief tutorial on what's expected during their first shift, and that the Sales Team will be available for additional questions afterwards.

Visit Milwaukee has been asked to help with the 58th Shamrock Club of Wisconsin St. Patrick's Day Parade! 

The 58th Shamrock Club of Wisconsin St. Patrick's Day Parade hits the street of downtown Milwaukee on Saturday, March 14, 2026. The parade steps off at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive & Wisconsin Avenue at noon, and finishes at Water & Highland. Join us for one of the oldest & grandest St. Patrick's Day celebrations in the country. Featuring over 100 units including floats, Irish dancers, bagpipe & march. During this shift, you would carry banners through the entire parade route (about 1.5 miles. 

The deadline to sign up is Tuesday, March 10. Please plan accordingly in regards to footwear, weather appropriate clothes & distance capability.

General Mitchell International Airport VM Kiosk Activation

Visit Milwaukee opens our Airport Kiosk on peak days to service travelers coming into Milwaukee, providing with them information about dining, accommodation, transportation, and attraction options before heading into the City. This will also serve as an opportunity for volunteers to keep current and a dedicated time for new volunteers to experience peer-to-peer training. These shifts are open to our experienced airport volunteers. If you want to be added to be trained, please contact Taleah Meah or Taylor Trost.
