Hi Volunteers,

Happy Volunteer Appreciation Week! I want to personally thank you for your support and commitment to service. Our community and organization are only as strong as their foundation, and our volunteers are the bedrock to Milwaukee's success and vibrancy. Our City and State rank among the highest in volunteering impact each year because of you.

  • I volunteer because I'm proud of Milwaukee and love to share my knowledge with visitors! -Bill
  • As a retiree, who moved to the Milwaukee area, what a great way to stay active and get acquainted with what Milwaukee offers to its citizens and visitors!  I enjoy greeting passengers at the airport and meeting other volunteers who have helped me learn more about this great city. Thank you Visit Milwaukee. -Jan
  • I enjoy volunteering for a few reasons. I enjoy people, promoting, and the history of Milwaukee. -Bob
  • I volunteer because it gives me an opportunity to make a difference in my community, my church, and our world. -Marilyn
  • We are six generations that have grown, worked, and lived here.  I wanted to be a part of the city and its energy through volunteering. It's been a pleasure to give back to this beautiful community. -Sue
  • I volunteer to meet great people who volunteer. -Jim
  • I volunteer because it allows me by choice, to be interactive, engaged, informed, interested and helpful. -Donna

  • The reason I volunteer is that I enjoy putting a smile on the face of our visitors!  It makes all the difference in the world! -Irma
  • I volunteer because it helps me feel more involved in my community. And I can use my skills in a productive way. -Linda
  • I volunteer because it makes me feel connected to my community. I also love meeting so many kind, smart, and dedicated individuals! -Barb

  • You make your life meaningful by what you give back. -Mary Beth

Special Celebration Invitation

You make Milwaukee shine, and we want to shine a light on you! On Friday, April 30th, at 10:30 AM, VISIT Milwaukee will be hosting a special webinar to join and celebrate each other and your impact as volunteers with special guests and conversations. We will share a registration link early next week for you to connect virtually.

This Week's Webinar Registration

Summer is just around the corner! That's why we thought it would be a great time to spotlight some partners who know how to turn up the dial on summer fun.

You may have jet skied on an inland lake in the metro area or while vacationing up north, but did you know that you can also jet ski on Lake Michigan? Oak Creek's Wake Zone Jet Ski Rentals will be talking about how you can do just that. After your time going fast on the water, you can return to dry land and play some fast-paced video games. CARCADE is Wisconsin's first "anywhere arcade" and is proud to be based right here in Milwaukee. Learn more about how it works and what types of games they offer by registering here.

A big thank you, enjoy the rest of your week, and see you next Friday!
