Exciting news from our partner businesses.
- Central Standard Craft Distillery co-founders Evan Hughes and Pat McQuillan will be opening the doors and welcoming guests to Central Standard Crafthouse & Kitchen Saturday, August 14th at 11 a.m. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Crafthouse & Kitchen co-owners, managers and staff will offer tours of the space and will only be serving a craft cocktail and beverage menu inspired by the relaxing Midwest style. Guests will be able to experience the bright and bold farm-to-table inspired menu 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week starting August 14.
- Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience is being extended through Oct. 31 at the Wisconsin Center. If you haven't already gone, I highly encourage you to attend. It's simply amazing.
- Downtown has long needed a dog park and now it may finally get one! A downtown Milwaukee dog run is one of 30 finalists in the Petsafe "Bark for Your Park" grant competition. Until Aug. 31, you can vote once a day for the downtown project if you are over the age of 18. On Sept. 2, Milwaukee could be one of five planned dog parks around the country to win the $25,000 grant. We encourage you to vote here.

Festival Season is Here!
The city of festivals is alive again with activity on our permanent festival grounds and throughout our neighborhoods celebrating the many cultures and traditions that come together in Milwaukee.
Wisconsin State Fair
When: Now through Sunday at Wisconsin State Fair Park
What: The ultimate tribute to gastronomic creativity, adorable animals, games and other forms of exhilarating entertainment.
Milwaukee Night Market
When: Aug. 18 on the stretch of Wisconsin Avenue between North Phillips and North Plankinton Avenues
What: A free street festival with local food vendors, artists, performers, and more.
Milwaukee Irish Fest
When: Aug. 20-22 at Henry Maier Festival Park
What: Fuel up on corned beef and cabbage, Shepard's pie and some Guinness so you have the energy to dance the jig.
Mexican Fiesta
When: Aug. 27-29 at Henry Maier Festival Park
What: Immerse yourself in the sound, tastes and culture of Mexico, while also learning about its rich history. Sixteen artists will perform live over the course of the weekend. A car and motorcycle show featuring vintage and custom vehicles will also be held during the second day of the event.
Milwaukee Fringe Festival
When: Aug. 28 at Marcus Performing Art Center's Peck Pavilion
What: A festival that celebrates a diverse array of Milwaukee actors, painters, dancers, playwrights and other artists.
Milwaukee Black Theater Festival
When: Aug. 23-Sept. 12 at the Milwaukee Chamber Theatre
What: An event connecting Milwaukee's Black community and Black theater community to the rest of the city through conversation and art.
Summerfest
When: Sept. 2-4, 9-11, 16-18 at Henry Maier Festival Park
What: Twelve days of the best national, international and local acts, including performances at the newly renovated American Family Insurance Amphitheater.

- 88Nine's city-wide scavenger hunt continues through Aug. 25. Participate by carrying out missions that can lead to prizes.
- Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience has been extended to run at the Wisconsin Center through Oct. 31. The event uses top-tier projection technology to provide participants with an immersive walk-through of Vincent Van Gogh's art.
- East Troy Railroad Museum hosts Chicago and Military Day on Aug. 14, where you can view historic cars from Chicago and Northern Indiana.
- Hop heads, rejoice! Wisconsin IPA Fest returns from 2-5 p.m. Aug. 28 at Third Space Brewing with hundreds of Wisconsin-made IPAs from breweries throughout the Badger state.
