Wisconsin Center Breaks Ground on 2024 Expansion
Expanded convention center will increase size to 445,000 total sq. ft. including a larger exhibit hall and rooftop ballroom with outdoor terrace overlooking downtown.

The long-awaited convention center expansion reached a major milestone today with the Wisconsin Center District (WCD) breaking ground on the construction site. In addition to WCD leaders and staff, several local leaders, government officials, and additional guests attended the Thursday groundbreaking ceremony.

Exciting news from our partner businesses.

The Brew City Beer Pass continues to perform extremely well! Over 3,500 people have downloaded the pass (with 18% being from out of state) and over 1,300 BOGO coupons have been redeemed. Ninety-three pass holders have earned a free koozie for checking into at least five breweries, and 24 passholders have earned T-shirts for checking into at least 10 breweries! The pass recently grew to 24 breweries with the addition of Indeed Brewing Company last week. Get your free pass and explore Milwaukee's great craft brewery scene today!
The Milwaukee Repertory Theater will soon open Steel Magnolias in the Quadracci Powerhouse from Nov. 9-Dec. 5. Infused with heart and humor, Steel Magnolias is a hilarious story of love, loss, and enduring friendship.
