Community Updates

Milwaukee's Bronzeville neighborhood is one of The New York Times' 52 Places for a Changed World! The historic economic and social heart of Milwaukee's African-American community, the Bronzeville neighborhood is the center of major redevelopment efforts and a hub for arts, culture, and commerce.

A main thoroughfare of the Bronzeville neighborhood is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Drive, and that drive is growing! Historic Old World Third Street receives a new name this month, fittingly on MLK Day! The street will be officially renamed Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Drive during a street renaming ceremony on Jan. 17 at Noon. This expands MLK Drive into the heart of downtown, leading locals and visitors alike into the city center. We celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. King, and we commit to making his dream a reality for all.

3rd Street Market Hall is officially open starting Jan. 14. Please share and direct visitors to the former Grand Avenue Mall for delicious dining options.
